Kebab Fuzion

Inside the food hall at Bolton Market, Shuib Anwar is serving delicious classic kebabs, wraps and shawarma – plus plenty more - at his 5* FHRS rated food business, Kebab Fuzion.

Shuib has a 20 year background in the corporate aspect of the food and drinks industry and in early 2024 he decided to take that experience and put it in to his very own food business.

When getting started, Shuib knew the basics and made sure he was aware of the general requirements for compliance with food hygiene rules and regulations. With the space where the business operates being on the small side, he made sure to read up on any specific legislation relevant to him.  

Patrick, Bolton Council’s Business Compliance Support Officer, contacted Shuib prior to the opening of the food hall and he was thankful for the opportunity to gain additional support and guidance.

There's a bit of a pre-conception about environmental health being a bit strict and just there to enforce rather than provide support but all I’ve had is a good experience. Patrick coming in and showing support to everyone changed that pre-conception around - he took some of the fear away.

I was a little worried that I might have missed something in the run up to my inspection but after Patrick ran the workshop here in the food hall for all the business owners, I was confident and reassured that I am doing it all right. And I was chuffed when I got a 5 in my inspection - it was even in the newspaper!
