Cafe La Vida
Café La Vida is a family run café in Stockport town centre. Their fresh and modern décor brings a wonderful vibrancy to the establishment where their friendly team are serving great coffee, delicious cakes and a range of hot and cold food – including delightful afternoon teas!
In May 2024, the café received a Food Hygiene Rating of 5 following an inspection by Stockport Council. Café owner Sanan is very thankful to Stockport Council's Business Compliance Support officer Sarah who contacted him prior to the inspection talk through everything that was required in order to obtain the top rating.
“I knew the main things that I had to do before opening to make sure that I was meeting the council’s requirements, but Sarah helped me with a lot of little things that I didn’t know about. I had no idea about the Safer Food Better Business pack before Sarah called me and while I did have paper records of everything, having it all in one place has saved me a lot of time and printing costs. She also explained to me about the need for sanitising products to meet the BS EN standards and now I know to ensure that I check it when ordering, to make sure that I always get the correct ones. She has been really helpful, and I am very thankful that she contacted me.
For people starting a business for the first time, I one hundred percent recommend the service”.
