Mimao is an exciting new venture offering delightful, sweet rice drinks. The beverage is a re-defined twist on the beloved Venezuelan Chicha, expertly crafted to appeal to the British palate. The drinks are creamy, sweet and delicious and with a variety of flavours and toppings, customers are simply spoilt for choice!

A couple of years ago, Victor and Linda noticed a gap in the UK drinks market and began their endeavour, learning what they needed to do to make their newly discovered dream become a reality. Both Linda and Victor come from the tech industry so there was plenty of new knowledge to learn.

Needless to say, Victor and Linda did an astounding job in ensuring that they were fully prepared for their food hygiene inspection as they were awarded the top rating of 5 by Manchester City Council.

Prior to beginning trading, Tapiwa, the Business Compliance Support Officer at Manchester City Council, contacted Victor to help ensure that they were compliant with all the relevant rules and regulations, and to offer his advice and guidance.

“Tapiwa’s support was crucial to us getting the top food hygiene rating. He told us about some requirements that we hadn’t been able to see when researching on the internet. We changed our sink and made sure that we have a separate fridge to avoid cross contamination. He helped to fill in any gaps in our knowledge on safety and gave us tips on how to improve. One great thing is that when we contact Tapiwa, he always makes time to help and follows up to make sure we have the answers we need. Without Tapiwa’s help we might not have achieved the rating of 5, and having the one-on-one help while we were jumping into the unknown has been a game-changer”.
