Cooper's Pantry

Cooper’s Pantry is an exciting new licensed café and deli on Crofts Bank Road in Urmston town centre. The cosy family run café not only offers delicious coffee and food options but they also have an extensive range of deli goods, wines and craft beers for sale. To top it off they host an array of social events including wine evenings and the venue is available for private hire.

Starting the business meant a career change for owner Michelle, who is new to the food and drinks industry, but has great support from her daughters who are both experienced in the trade. 

Grace, Trafford Council’s Business Compliance Support Officer emailed Michelle shortly after registering as a new food business, to offer guidance in preparation for her food hygiene inspection. Michelle and Cooper’s Pantry went on to achieve the top rating of 5 following their inspection by Trafford Council’s Environmental Health.

“Grace has been really helpful with food related support. She’s been pro-active and reactive to any queries and it’s good to have a contact to speak to at the council. There was a lot covered including a couple of pieces of paperwork, emphasis on the 2-stage cleaning and some labelling advice too. It helped us to cover any blind spots and helped us to feel more prepared. It also left me feeling confident for the inspection because we know we do everything that we need to do”.
