On Penny Meadow in Ashton-Under-Lyne is where you’ll find the fun and vibrant Sweet Experience. A bubble tea shop run by young entrepreneur Elizabetta.

Elizabetta had the idea of opening a takeaway of some sort in 2024 and after looking at her options she decided to give the world of the ever-popular bubble tea a try. Along with indulgent milk teas and refreshing fruit teas, you’ll also find hot drinks and desserts on the menu.

Sweet Experience has been awarded the top FHRS rating of 5 by Tameside Council’s environmental health team, and this comes after food hygiene support and guidance was offered by Tameside’s Business Compliance Support Officer Helen. 

“Helen emailed me just after I’d registered. We spoke on the phone a few times and then she came down to the shop to see me. She gave me advice on the correct type of cleaning products and she also told me about the Safer Food Better Business pack. I’m also looking to expand my menu and she’s been really helpful with any questions I’ve had. I wasn’t sure what environmental health officers would be like, the thought can be scary but I was pleased to find that Helen was very friendly and I recommend the service she gives”.
